Montreal for the Cutting!

So the ladies that shaped my artistic world throughout my undergrad (Jac and Noelle) and I were under the instruction of Libby Hague at Atelier Circulaire, a beautiful printing facility in St. Laurent, Montreal. We learned some neat things like printing using a resist method as well as different ways to prep your wood before cutting it and how to make glue. It was a wonderful experience and I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Montreal. Libby's work is currently being exhibited at part of Printopolis, a city-wide awareness of print work and printmakers!

I am also exhibiting work in conjunction with Printopolis, at the Gales Gallery at York University. The show, titled Printapolooza!, is an exhibit of York alumni's current print work. Curration bu Barbara Balfour will ensure a fantastic show! Opening is 5:30-7:30 at the Gales Gallery.

Value at the Village

So today Stepha and I did some rainy-day browsing. Although findings did include a Ferragamo purse, it was not come home. Just a beach-bag-purse and a thin snake skin belt...can't have too many. I miss you blogg. Goodnight.

High Profile

News to me. On another totally unrelated note has anyone heard the name Moncur before? In any context?

Dear Lord, please grant me a head, in Jesus name, Amen.

Can't remember why I didn't get these

WELCOME XZander!

My sister and her boyfriend went downtown. He's half Maine Coon and half Rag Doll! I think he'll look more like the Maine Coon-which are the Great Danes of the cat world, and can get up to 30lbs! AHH!

Last week my sister and mom and I went downtown to get our hair done in some cute new little place in Yorkville and to do a bit of shopping. We went by the Aldo outlet and I found these two adorable leather fringed purses in black and brown. Marc Jacobs Party Girl fringe purse is a bit much for me and Balenciaga is a bit out of my price range so this little addition was a real steal! I've already decided to give the brown one to my dearest Chels upon my arrival in BC!

I like the little studding details

Not so much a fan of her, but her bag is fantastic!
So as far as I know, only one person follows me, but that's ok, I'll still write anyhow. I work as a supervisor at a pool and should be proofreading my staffs report cards but honestly, I have better things to do than that-like get exceedingly more and more excited for my trip out west! Yes, me and one of my besties are going for our first vay-cay together and I can't wait.

THE SHOW!

So Myself and a few girls from the studio threw together a really last minute show. To make a long story short, my installation that took 4 hours to install was destroyed thanks to an idiot curator and an old British fart who yelled in my face (that man is seriously heading to HELL)! I had to reinstall 30 minutes before the opening! AH! I made it however, with the help of some good people and a sturdy ladder. Thank you for coming!

Ryan "Amazing" Gerber and Calvin "Fantastic" Lau came all the way to see the show :D That made my day!

These are the back of the fish.

If you look carefully, they're sparkly!

Me and my very first installation...isn't it cute? (it was actually a NIGHTMARE!)
